Awoken at Trinity University, I found myself engulfed in a world of violence and immorality known as the public school system. Impacted by a 12-year old pregnant girl, I began to see the insanity of dependence on a corrupt systematic approach to alter the hearts of man. After studying America’s Godly Heritage author David Barton, along with the journal entries of America’s Founding Fathers, I began to realize democracy was created to govern a Christian people. The massive increase in teenage violence rates, teenage pregnancy rates, murder, school shootings, suicide rates, drug abuse, physical abuse & neglect left me wondering if the solution to our nation’s greatest crisis could be found in a textbook. My conclusion was the only cure for a virus such as this could be the Word of God working through the hearts of man to bring reconciliation, newness, & hope into the lives of a dying and decaying generation. It is for freedom that I board this ship we call Still Water Christian Ministries and set sail into the wide-open spaces our Lord has called me.

Director of Operations
My wife Lori and our four children; Presley, Peyton, Parker and Piper have been part of this ministry for several years as campers, volunteers and champions for the mission. For over thirty years I have had the opportunity to work in what is arguably the two greatest careers; teaching/coaching in public school and Christian summer sports camps. Lori and I served as directors of Camp Ozark for seven years and for over 20 years in the coaching sector in Brownwood, Kemp and Brenham. The common theme in both of these career paths is God, people and sports.
Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Director of Finance
I grew up in West Texas just north of Lubbock and attended Texas Tech University obtaining my degree in Accounting in 1994. Accounting led me to Dallas where I worked in public accounting auditing small businesses, nonprofits, and churches for almost 10 years. Once my husband and I started a family, we moved to Boerne, TX to live a “quieter life”. I've worked as the Director of Finance for several nonprofits over the years and find my joy serving the Lord in this way. Our family has known the Moehrig's since moving to Boerne and our kids have been enriched attending Still Water camps over the years. I am so blessed to be a part of the ministry staff now. I am also a co-owner of a vintage home decor' shop here in Boerne called The Sanctuary for the Vintage Soul.
Verse: Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
I grew up in Corpus Christi, TX and had the opportunity to attend Still Water Camps the summer after my freshman year of high school. It was here that the Lord captured my heart for eternity and I have felt His calling to continue to serve with Still Water since. Throughout high school and even college, I have been able to serve every summer in some capacity. I have loved the opportunity to serve God through Still Water in so many different roles out at camp. After being in the workforce for a few years after college & getting married to my college sweetheart Mike, I knew the Lord was calling me deeper with this ministry. I took the leap of full-time in January 2018 and am so grateful for the gift to share the Gospel through this vehicle!
Verse: Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, do wholeheartedly, as if working for the Lord and not for men.”
Coastal Bend Area Director
I was born in Seguin, Texas, but my family moved all around Texas while I was growing up. From Seguin we moved to Waco, then to Harlingen down south, and then to Corpus Christi where I graduated from Calallen High School. Ultimately, I consider all of South Texas to be my home, but I also spent 5 incredible years in Chicagoland at Trinity Christian College, so I have a soft spot in my heart for the city of Chicago. Summer camps have been one of God's greatest avenues to administer grace to my sinful soul, so it's certainly fitting that I came to know Christ and give my life to Him as a Still Water camper 10 years ago! I've been involved with the ministry in some manner ever since then serving as Core Team, Crew Team, and an Intern during these many years. Now I'm fortunate to serve the ministry full-time in Corpus Christi where I myself was introduced to Still Water!
Verse: Joshua 4:24 “This is so that all the people of the earth may know that the LORD's hand is mighty, and so that you may always fear the LORD your God.”
Ministry Partner Coordinator
I grew up going to camp every summer at Kanakuk, then served as a counselor there for 3 summers and absolutely loved it! I saw how the LORD used camp, counselors and sports as a platform for the gospel in my life. I graduated from the University of Texas back in 2010 and went to Turkey for two years, where I met my husband, Rodney. Believe it or not, we both actually grew up in the DFW area, but of course had to go overseas to meet - God’s funny like that!
Rodney’s a football coach at Mesquite Poteet High School in Dallas. We have two beautiful kids -- Paul Wade and Ana. The LORD has used this ministry to bless our family in so many ways ever since joining the team in 2013, and we are humbled to also be a part of all that He is doing in and thru Still Water.
Verse: Psalm 90:14 “Satisfy us in the morning with Your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.”
Growing up on a farm and ranch on the edge of the Palo Duro Canyon outside of Claude, Texas I placed my faith in Jesus Christ as my Savior very early in life. During middle school while attending a camp in Colorado I committed my life to full time Christian service however He might lead. After graduation from Baylor the Lord led me to the ministry of Still Water Christian Ministries. God brought Matt and I together through our service with Still Water and we now have six little ones. It is a joy to serve in a lifestyle that allows us to see life transformation. We would be delighted for you to join this journey with us!
Verse: Philippians 4:4-7 “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be made known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. When I cast my cares at His feet with prayer and gratitude there is great peace!”
Registrar & Female Director of Staffing
Raised in Calallen, an area outside of Corpus Christi, I was blessed to have a family that taught me about Jesus and I put my faith in Jesus at a very young age. I grew up in church attending youth group and camps where I always learned so much and loved being immersed in and environment that made much of my Savior. After graduating from Texas State, my husband Brad and I both moved back to Calallen. We celebrated 12 years of marriage this year and by God’s love and grace we have been blessed with two beautiful babies. I came on staff with Still Water in 2013 and serve as the Female Director of Staffing and the Registrar. My family has been able to come to camp with me. Serving together is something that we love to do and something that we understand grows us greatly with our Lord. I desire for people to know they are loved, valued, and with purpose in Jesus Christ. That the freedom His love offers brings undeniable joy, peace, and strength in life here on earth and gives us eternal life with Him in Heaven. I am thankful that Still Water is the place that I get to be a part of God’s plan for His people and to experience what He does in lives at camp. We are blessed to be a part of this Kingdom minded ministry.

I grew up in Spring, Texas. At a Young Life overnight camp in 7th grade I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. At that moment I realized that the lessons found in Jesus' teachings and the Holy Spirit were all I needed to endure the trials of life. The Lord has been faithful beginning with those tricky teenage years and on through my college experience at Texas State University. God has blessed me with an amazing, hard-working, and supportive husband. We married in 2007. Our three children are super energetic, kind, and inquisitive. It is because of my kids that I have met so many wonderful people in this beautiful Hill Country community. One of those amazing people is my good friend Kristi Schmidt. Kristi asked me to serve with the kids camp at Still Water's Boerne Champ Camp during the summer of 2019. I found so much joy serving alongside the volunteers and staff at Still Water Camps! I felt the Lord directing my path then, which eventually led to my current position as Executive Assistant/Office Manager. I enjoy being with my kids in their various sporting activities and I enjoy helping their teammates when they need a little extra encouragement or support. At Still Water Camps, kids get to experience the joys of being a kid, playing various activities with their friends, and learning about how Jesus can transform their lives. I am blessed to be here and I love the summer when camp season begins! I hope to see you all there too! Come and take up your cross and follow Jesus. I was born in Nanning, China, and came to Houston, TX, at 11 months old. Growing up in the church and having a family that loved the Lord instilled in me a heart for nonprofit work and making a difference. I worked as a Tribal Leader the summer after my freshman year at Texas A&M. Whoop! After finishing up my undergraduate degree, I still felt that nonprofits were calling me. I graduated with my Masters in Public Service and Administration with a focus on nonprofit management in May 2020 and am so excited that it has come full circle to serve on the Still Water team after six years later from that initial Still Water experience.
God knew from day one this would be my story, and I am thrilled to start this journey and be a small part of the fantastic things Still Water is doing for His Kingdom!

San Antonio Area Director
Growing up in San Antonio, it has always been my passion to bring the Word of God into our schools. Starting Christian clubs on my middle school, high school, and college campuses was something God weighed heavy on my heart. After teaching for an inner city charter school for six years and then founding a new charter school as an assistant principal, God showed me that many of our younger generations were missing something in their lives. The Lord introduced me to Still Water Christian Ministries in 2013 as I was starting a bible study at my inner city school as a teacher and coach. With the support of Still Water, we were able to grow that ministry from about 25 students to over 120 students, pass out over 200 bibles, and scholarship almost 60 students to attend summer camp. I have seen the impact Still Water Christian Ministries has had on these students, their families, and their school and have felt God calling me do more to further His Kingdom. It is with great joy that the Lord has provided me the opportunity to pick up my cross, go into our communities to spread His name and show students that what they are missing is a relationship with their Father Jesus Christ!
Verse: Ephesians 4:11-13 “It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God' people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
