Still Water Camps
is an over night, Christ-centered, sports, adventure and leadership camp open to anyone ages 5-18. We host our summer camps at our own property in Harper, TX, as well rent facilities in Blanco, TX and Pagosa Springs, CO.
Our desire is to provide quality sports training lead by middle school, high school and college coaches. Whether a student has never participated in a sport before or plays that sport year round, we want to come alongside them and challenge them to grow their fundamental skills, teamwork, and knowledge of the game. But that is not all. We believe in a combination of mind, body and soul, so at the same time, we want to teach campers the importance of God in their lives.

ABOUT STILL WATER...
Our staff is made up of high school and college athletes and students who love kids. They can be a wild and crazy bunch who love to put on costumes and dance, but also have their eyes open to make sure everyone is included. They are our greatest asset, and above all they love God and want to allow our campers to experience His love. Our desire is to serve each camper and love them as Christ does. Sport and adventure are great things and we want to enjoy them together, but above all, we want to challenge each student not only as an athlete, but also a person.
While spending time teaching in the public school system, our founder, Matt Moehrig (aka Coach Mo) was confronted with the reality of how hard life can be in middle school. God gave “Coach Mo” a vision to show kids from every background the love of Christ through the avenue of a sports camp. This vision was born along the still waters of the bay near Corpus Christi, Texas. The idea that the Lord leads us beside still waters (Psalm 23:3) to a place of peace and away from the chaos of everyday life is the desire for the camp experience....and so the name Still Water Camps was born.
In October of 2001, Still Water was formed as a 501(C)(3) nonprofit and in July of 2002 we had our first camp, a boys football camp in Medina, Texas!
Because of the desire to offer the camp experience to every student, we scholarship approximately 50% of our campers (30% internally, 20% externally) so that finances are not a hindrance to any student attending camp. A unique aspect of Still Water is bringing together kids from every type of background in a setting where they can all have first time experiences together both in adventure and the love of Christ.
